Child advocates and members of the social work community look no further as we are here to serve as a vital resource in helping those who have been impacted by the effects of Covid-19. Our goal is to help assist those in the field by pointing you in the right direction and ultimately being a hub of resources for you to utilize when assisting those in need.
Take a look below at some programs you can refer your clients to located at Family Intervention Services in Rockaway, NJ serving all families of Morris/Sussex Counties.
FSP Program (Family Stabilization Program)- provides therapeutic counseling services with strength-based interventions and an emphasis on raising healthy, safe children who are ready to learn.
FCIU Program (Family Crisis Intervention Unit)- provides case management and counseling services to prevent a child from entering the juvenile justice system.
PACS (The Pre and Post Adoption Counseling Services)- a service for families who are adopting or have an adopted child into their home. This service helps families to improve communications, build stronger connections and better understand the challenges of adoption.
Children's Mobile Response and Stabilization Services- Children's Mobile Response and Stabilization Services provide in-person response to families with a child in the midst of a behavioral, developmental disability or substance use crisis. Our goal is to keep youth in their home, in school and on a path to success.

This program is short term (8 weeks) and helps the family resolve a crisis and/or connect to community resources.
There is no cost for this service.

Dating and Domestic Abuse:
Experienced advocates from JBWS provide emotional support, safety planning, and access to community resources. Support groups in English and Spanish take place in the beautiful, bright new space. Advocates can also provide access to the JBWS safe house and the counseling program for people who use abuse.
Legal Assistance:
Provided by attorneys from Legal Services of Northwest Jersey, Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs, and the Morris County Bar Foundation, legal assistance is offered with restraining orders, family matters, housing, immigration, and more.
Sexual Assault:
Counseling, advocacy, respect, education and support for sexual assault survivors, their families and their partners are provided through Morris CARES.
Human Trafficking:
Support services, advocacy, & safety planning are provided for survivors of human trafficking.

Lastly, the city of Paterson, NJ is launching a Guaranteed Income Pilot which is set to be an unconditional periodic cash payment that ensures a minimum income level, regardless of employment status.
This program is open to Paterson residents in which they'll select 110 participants who will receive $400 per month for 12 months.
